B.O.D.Y. RAKS EXTREME by Jihan (BELLYRINA ORIENTAL DANCE & YOGA) Bellydance BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE Bellydance, Baladi & Folk technique, body conditioning, basic choreography; finger cymbals, veil work AND CHOREOGRAPHY.

CLASS SYLLABUS:
B.O.D.Y. RAKS EXTREME
Conditioning: Warm up, stretches, resistance, Yoga & warm-down, combined with dancer preparation Bellydance Techniques. Beneficial to all levels of dance students, from beginner to performance! Stylize your body for proper alignment, balance, strength and endurance (stamina) for class and performance stage.

You will learn basic and intermediate Bellydance technique, Egyptian rhythms, how and when to play finger cymbals, and how to dance with veils and a group choreography. Class will also cover stage presence, staging a dance, and stage makeup, in preparation for the school's recitals.

During this semester, Jihan will offer the opportunity to have a live drummer in class, for a small extra fee for each student. In the tradition of the Middle East, everyone needs to learn to dance to live percussion!

We offer the opportunity to perform at our two annual school recitals - Spring and Winter.

December 2011 will be our 13th annual Holiday Recital! We'd love for you to be part of our West Miami tradition!

B.O.D.Y. (Bellyrina Oriental Dance & Yoga
is Jihan's newly enhanced method of teaching dance as both an art form and fitness program for all students, from beginner's to performance and competition levels.

Jihan blends the benefits of Yoga Asanas, isometric exercises, floor barre and classical dancer's stretches, in her "warm-up and warm-down" segments, at the beginning end of each dance class.

"While developing my personal fitness program for ultimate levels of fitness, stamina and performance refinement and discipline, I have been working on enhancing the Jamal Method of teaching Arabic dance arts, while always emphasizing classical corporal dance discipline and technique, as well as creative movement and development -Empowering myself through Yoga and dance movement, thus conditioning spirit, mind and body collaboration and correlation, in dealing with everyday life experiences. I want to share with you the positive results of the YES I CAN attitude in life. I want to share my journey with you, my student.

Please wear proper attire to descend to floor; Bring Yoga matt or beach towel; Pilates exercise bands if you have your own. Some available for class use.
