Beginner's (Bellydance I)
Bellydance Basics, Intro to Egyptian and Arabic Rhythms and Finger
Cymbals playing, Intro to dance veil work and Basic choreography.
Class requirements:
No prior class training required.
Class attire:
Dance wear or apparel or comfortable clothing, which enables the student
to do floor barre and stretches. Finger cymbals, veils and hip sashes
are available for purchase from Jihan, and are a must for classes.
B.O.D.A. - Advanced (Bellydance II)
PREREQUISITE:
STUDENT NEEDS MRS. JAMAL'S APPROVAL TO REGISTER FOR THIS ADVANCED LEVEL
CLASS .
THIS IS NOT A "WALK-IN" CLASS.
This
class is structured for the dance student that has previous Bellydance
training, preferably but not exclusive to Mrs. Jamal's Beginning and
Intermediate classes. It is fast-paced and it is structured with
rigorous warm-up, technique and choreography. Mrs. Jamal
Class requirements:
Student must BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE INSTRUCTOR. The student must have an
Intermediate Bellydance training experience and must have
at least prior basic finger cymbals playing experience.
Class attire:
Dance wear and apparel or comfortable clothing, which enables the
student to do floor barre and stretches. Character shoes are encouraged
if student plans to audition for dance company and/or performances.
Finger
cymbals (AKA Zaghat, or Zills), veils and hip sashes are available for
purchase from Jihan, and are a must for classes.
