Miami's Queen of Baladi
I am a Dance Master, Master Instructor, Dance Ethnologist and promoter of Middle Eastern Dance and Performance Arts for the past 40 years. I founded ADORA World Dance Productions in 1982, promoting Middle Eastern dance education and awareness; sponsoring other Master Teachers and Musicians in the field of Arab dance and music traditions, and I have been an integral member of this community, internationally since 1979. I am a published writer (www.yallahmagazine.com since 2009), and blogger and I am also the Founder and Director of Women Of the Silk Veil (WOSV) Middle Eastern and Asian Arts and Cultural Club. My goal as a Dance Master is representing the Arabic Dance and Culture with dignity, elegance and pride.

Jihan's "The Art of Bellydance" classes at MDC KENDALL , Spring starts

Jihan is currently available Classic Elegance, Tradition, and Artistry in the Fine Art of Bellydance Join Master Instructor, Jihan Jamal, in this educational and inspiring course. The Awalim (plural for Almeh) is a terminology used during the 19th century to refer to the professional dancers of Arab Egypt - Educated girls and women of good social standing, trained in dancing, singing and poetry, present at festivals and entertainment venues. Course will focus on traditional steps and choreographed dance patterns, and introduction to playing finger cymbals, with an emphasis on “port –de-corps” (Carriage of the body).
